Inspection Requirements
Most vehicles in the Lower Fraser Valley having a gross vehicle weight of 5000 kilograms or less require an AirCare inspection prior to re-licensing, if the vehicle's last AirCare inspection has expired. To find out the expiry date of your last inspection check your inspection history.
If your vehicle requires an inspection, here are a few important things to keep in mind:
- No appointments are necessary. There are 10 AirCare inspection facilities located in the Lower Fraser Valley. AirCare inspection facilities are open Monday to Saturday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Check current wait times to determine the best time to take the vehicle for inspection.
- Please ensure your vehicle is at normal operating temperature and that you have your current Autoplan registration document ready for the inspector.
- The inspection fee is $23 for 1991 and older vehicles.
- The inspection fee is $45 for 1992 and newer vehicles.
- All vehicles are charged $23 for a re-inspection.
- Acceptable payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, debit card and cash.
