2003 AirCare AirWaves Scholarship Recipients
The AirCare program, along with its partners the British Columbia Lung Association, British Columbia Medical Association, David Suzuki Foundation, Environmental Youth Alliance and Envirotest Canada, contractor for AirCare, are pleased to announce the winners of the 2003 AirCare AirWaves Radio Scholarship Contest. The contest is open to Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley Grade 11 and 12 high school students. Students submitted a 30-second radio spot linking vehicle emissions with air quality, personal health and climate change.

The Grade 11 team of Camilla Jeffries-Chung from York House School in Vancouver and Rebecca Simms from David Thompson Secondary School in Vancouver shared a $1,000 scholarship.

Steve Fernandes, Grade 12 student from H.J. Cambie Secondary School in Richmond received a $1,000 scholarship.
